Amsterdam

Landed in Amsterdam at about 6:45 a.m. here. Didn't sleep a e-ink on the plane, and am glad to not be getting it yet.

Bought my first food item, a coffee from Starbucks using Euro currency. The amount of stuff to see and do in this place is astounding.

I am also surprised by the amount of English present, even if it is an international airport.

Final leg to Florence at 10:00. Can't wait!

It's not very windy, just cold.

Currently waiting in Chicago for our next leg to Amsterdam. Chicago became the farthest north I have been a few years ask during a high school band trip to perform hear.

Seeing it in the winter is cool, but I am sad I cannot go into the city, considering the short layover.

Next stop is Amsterdam, after an eight hour flight, going from four-thirty p.m. here to seven a.m. there. Luckily I have stockpiled plenty of podcasts and have the anticipation of landing in a foreign land to keep me alert.

See you once we land!

Pre-departure

Salvé, fancy people!

I am currently sitting in our concourse in the Hartsfield-Jackson airport waiting for boarding. Everyone else is currently either sitting nearby eating brunchfast or looking around at the surprising number of stores the airport has to offer.

Personally, I chose a prefab sandwich and a double espresso. That is the last coffee I drink I will have before arriving in Florence.

I also took an opportunity to change some of my money over to euros for convenience sake when we arrive.

Thank goodness for people watching, I have another hour before departure.

See you later!

P.S.- I intend on making some Vines as well, but do not know when I will be able to post them.
